ZZzZZzz*grumble*

Meh! Logged into my ING Direct account this morning, looks like they dropped their interest rate *again*! My money is now earning a cool shitty 3.5%, I remember in May of '00 when it was earning a nice 5% - that's why I opened up an account with ING. Most people blame the terrorist attacks against the World Trade Centre - I doubt it.

It was so nice, everyone left early on Friday, I guess they were kinda pissed at the fact that we all showed up early for a meeting our boss scheduled. Except the boss diden't even show up!

I have to toally reorganise my mp3s, I have so many new ones that I have to rename and throw in directories organised by genre. It's going to be crazy in the next week or so, as I download songs for my parents restaurant.

Once again, my room is a total mess! :( I can't seem to keep it clean - there is shit everywhere. At least I got my laundry done.

Washed the car today, at Gords place. My driveway got repaved on friday, so there really wasen't any room to do anything. Plus time went by way faster, we both spent about 3 hours on our cars. Vaccumed, washed, waxed, pretty much did a really good detailing job :) So right now, I am trying to do something. Gord is out with Bryna in Keswick, my brother left for a friends party, and right now I am talking to Lindsay - but she isn't being too cooperative.

Tomorrow is pretty much clean up day - then it's all the good bday goodness. Dinner with parents/brother for my birthday (which was on Monday, for those of you who forgot).

Nothing too exciting.

Toronto Star Chix0r

Today was a pretty slow day at work. Three project managers (out of four) where sick, not to mention my computer decided to die on me today. Had lunch with Gord back at my place too - was nice to eat something healthy :)

The photographer from the Toronto Star arrived today, although 2 hours late. Which in my mind was alright, at least she called. She arrived at 9:30pm took about 20 or 30 photos, then my dad got a little pissed because we were being so loud and goofy. The photographer (damn, I forgot her first name - but her last name is Tooheys) was so hip and cool. I was dreading this old crusty guy. I was happy with the idea of the shot, but I couldn't get my face right! In the end we ended up rushing, cause my dad was all crusty. In anycase, I will be tossing up the article as soon as I get a copy of it - should be sometime in mid October.

The rest of the week is going to be dull work, nothing too exciting. This weekend is going to be my b-day celebrations with my parents, yay!

Waking Up Sucks

Oh my god! I got the coolest letter from Kat today... put a HUGE smile on my face. I am also getting something from Sue, and Jen gave me a r00ling Queens t-shirt and some tasty, TASTY cookies! It's amazing how my Aussie friends put more effort into my b-day then my friends here at home (none of which decided they wanted to do stuff with me this weekend!). In anycase, Jen and I are having a good weekend :)

Not quite sure what we are going to do today, she has some homework that needs to be done. We will probably just chill and hang out. Last night we saw a movie, "The Muskateer", wasen't the greatest.

We also decided to go shopping! So we drove to Upper Canada Mall, and I found a nice parking spot - it was right infront of the door! I pulled into the parking spot, and I hear this huge big gasp from Jennifer.

"You can't park there!".

"Why not?" I asked.

"This spot is 'reserved for expecting moms or familys with children'", pointing to the bright big sign in front of me.

"Oh my god, there is no way I am moving! Enough prime spots are already reserved for those gimpy handicappped people, why should I give up this prime parking location for some bitch who got knocked up?"

"Fine then I am not getting out of the car"

"See ya!"

I walk out of the car and head into the Mall. I waited for about fifteen minutes, hoping she would come walking through the doors. She diden't, so I headed out and started my shopping! I got a new pair of shoes, some tops, and a DVD - "Go". Jen ended up getting two pairs of shoes, some bathing suits, and some tops. We spent about four hours in there! Came home, had dinner with the parents, then headed out to see the movie.

So now we are all caught up to Sunday morning! In which case I woke up and started writing this journal entry :) I got two happy b-day ICQ messages, one from Chrissy (the Perth Chick) and one from Kristy (my best girl friend in Sydney). Thanks you two!

Jen, Blackberry, and B-Day

Hmm.. nothing to interesting nor exciting happening in my life lately. I guess that's what September is all about - getting back into the routing of school/work. I have noticed heaps of more cars on the road, going to work - it's a pain.

My Grandfather got into a small accident a few days ago, typical him. He was painting the side of his house when he fell off a ladder. Right on his face! Broke a few things, but all and all he is fine and dandy!

Jen is coming over this weekend, partly for my b-day and partly just because. She got a cell phone, so has been SMSing me all week. I really hope she doesen't think I am having a huge assed party, seems like thats the impression she has. Gord and Bryna are going to to London - I don't think I want to go. Another three hours away. Just go out drinking with my brother and his girlfriend (plus all their friends) on Friday night, and chill with Jen the rest of the weekend. I am hoping Mark can get his arse over here as well, but I doubt that will happen.

All in all, I plan on this being a nice relaxing weekend, with the added bonus of gifts :)

Still no Blackberry, starting to get a little worried. Been 10 days so far, but things can be delayed at customs because of this whole WTC thing. I just hope it arrives tomorrow, give me the weekend to play with it.

Ok! Who broke the Internet?

I finally got my stupid ISP to escalate my fault, and hopefully sometime tomorrow or Monday I will get this whole internet problem solved. It's been happening all week, my modem would drop heaps of packets then resync. It's really annoying trying to get work done when your ssh connection drops every 5 minutes or so.

This weekend has gone by so fast so far! It's already Saturday night! I don't think I will be doing anything tonight - called a bunch of people. Gord diden't answer his phone, and Mark is doing something with Stacy. I was hoping Michelle (from work) would give me a call, so I could do something - guess not! Not quite sure what I am going to end up doing - maybe just sleep early :(

I called the tinting place today. Going to cost me $230 to get my car done. Don't think I am going to go through with it. I still have huge debts to pay off, and it would be nice to get that out of the way first. Not to mention I am also saving up for my next trip, which is still to be determined.

Nothing really else new and exciting happening in my life. Have to do some stuff for Jen, and write her an e-mail. Also have to write Kat a letter and fire that off on Monday. I have been missing my Aussie friends lately :/ I wish I could be spending my 21st b-day in Sydney.

I need a new job.

Its been a pretty wierd day here. This whole thing with the world trade centres. Most people at work were glued to the TV or net soaking in the facts. Once again the media has pretty much hyped up everything, and people were blowing EVERYTHING out of proportion. A lot of people in Toronto decided that they must leave and go home.

I personally wasen't surprised this happened, it was only time. People are amazed that some thing this big "can happen to america". The attack was well planned and co-ordinated. It's a shame they hit civlian targets, instead of just military ones.

Fat chance of finding anything good on TV tonight :-/ What's going to piss me off the most, is everyone who is going to be talking about it tomorrow at work. Who cares? It doesn't really affect us personally, just get over it and move on. THIS IS LIFE!

I still haven't figured out what I want to do for my birthday. I am thinking of heading out to the city, and going to Panorama for some drinks. Jen will probably be coming down for the weekend. I hope Mark comes down too.

I have been looking a lot harder and faster for a new job. Today especially - work was really pissing me off. I was pretty close to just walking out of there today.

Indian Summer?

Wow! its so warm out here! This is pretty unusual for September - hit 30C today! Jen is all like "Its so hot here!! I can't believe I'm in Canada!" - and to that I say, ha-ha! people who think we live in igloos!

I spent most of today helping my parents out with the restaurant - mostly drywalling. Nothing too exciting, lift up heavy 12' long pieces of drywall and screw them into studs. Simple! The place is really starting to look like a nice place to eat :) I have some pictures that I took, should post them up in my photo section - lazy! The rest of the day is devoted to bumming around the internet, and sleep!

I also bought a blackberry today too. Can't wait to get it! I told Artizial about it and she went nuts!

no shit!!!!!? they are awsomeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
haha they r fun to play with!!! especially when someone else has one too... hehehe

Yeah so I dont know anyone else who has one, but I hope that I can use my cell phone less and blackberry more in the next few months. Only shitty thing, is that Rogers AT&T forces me to sign a retarded contract :( 1 year it's going to be!

Jen seems to be enjoying her self in Kingston - got an email from her today. As well Toni wrote me back so thats good. Nothing really new with her - shes going on yet ANOTHER vacation :) This time with Donna. I miss Toni. Eating the TimTams that Jen brought always reminds me of her.

Busy Busy Busy!

Wow! Been pretty busy at work lately - which is good I take it. Time goes by pretty fast now, next thing I know it's going to be my birthday!

I have absolutely no clue what I want to do for it either. My dad asked my a little while ago what I wanted, still dont know. I asked Jen if she could make it for my b-day, still havn't heard back from her. I also e-mailed Toni, havn't heard back from her either :( Going to fire off a reminder e-mail to both of them this weekend.

I have been thinking more about traveling, and stuff that I want to do. Getting my pilots licence is pretty high up on my list, as is seeing Europe and the rest of the world. Every morning I am reminded of my Europe trip, my two books on Europe are sitting there staring right at me. Andrew wanted me to put up my "Aussie Fund" meter back up. I will most likely do that, whether I go to Australia or not, is another question. My goal is to head out next September - which should be perfect for Europe, just the end of the tourist season :)

I have a feeling I am going to be busy this weekend with my parents restaurant, which seems to be moving at a really fast rate! This is my moms last week at work, going to be weird having her around the house for a bit. That also means no more tasty Sobeys salads for lunch (since she used to bring them home from work).

My car is doing good, something already broke though :( The light switch for the interior lights decided to fall off a few days ago. Going to get that fixed when I get the oil changed (which should be in a few months).

A long weekend in Kingston

Ahh, what a great weekend. I left friday night, to head out to see Jens new place in Kingston. Such a cool place! I'm actually jelous of her, the house is nice. She is living on the third floor of an old town house, about 20 min walk from the main campus. She has her own little kitchen and laundry, and shares a bathroom with a rommate from Norway (or was it Sweden?).

Saturday we rented two bikes, and decided to ride along the Thousand Islands Parkway. There really wasn't much to see, but I still had a good time. The spot we picked for lunch rocked pretty hard. I slept so well that night, hehe - too bad my butt was so sore for the rest of the weekend.

Sunday rocked, we went to Ottawa! Did some sights, went up in the Peace Tower (you know, that huge clock tower attached to the parlament building?). Gave us a nice view of the city. We also took a gander at a few museums and churches. Jen wasn't feeling too well, most likely from the dodgy place we had lunch, so we headed home. We were planning on going to the movies, and headed into town. To bad there wasn't anything worth seeing :(

Today was a sad day :( Had to leave, but we took some pictures with my digital camera. She wanted to send some pictures of her place to her boyfriend and parents back home. So we walked around the city, and took some pics! The drive home was pretty uneventful, it looks like I just beat the traffic rush - marking the end of my long weekend :)

Not sure what I am going to do for the rest of today, most likely some laundry and catch up on some email. Meh! I always feel a little sad and depressed when I leave Jen - she's so much fun to be with :D

She got me thinking about traveling a lot, with her tails from Japan. I hope my plans for traveling next year are still achieveable. I am still unsure where I want to go, Europe, Japan, or back to Australia. One thing is for sure though, I don't really want to hang around here much longer :/

My birthday is in 21 days - *sigh*, I am also turning 21. So old.
