I'm looking, but I ain't seeing!

Had an excellent Christmas. Was nice to have the time off! I got a book from my brother, "Internet Core Protocols" and a leather jacket from my parents. Kristy from Australia sent me a card, which was nice :)

I am hosting a nice new years party next week, there has been a lot of shit going around because of it. Some people want to go to my party, while other want to some other chicks party. The whole group is split up in to two sides. Meh, I personally can care less who goes where, as long as people who I dont really want (thus, ruining party) coming to my place. No matter who comes, the only people who I really care to be there (Gord and Bryna), will be :)

Gord invited me out last night to do a little shopping and get some drinks with Gav and Brian. I picked up the Die Hard Trilogy box set, for a cool $80. Then we chilled at Gavs place for a few hours, played a little fuse ball, some ping pong, and Play Station. At about 11pm we headed out to the Lions Den (it's a pub) to grab a bite to eat, and get some drinks. There wings are fucking awesome - so tasty and delicious. A bunch of them wanted to head out to a near by strip club. We decided to go, I only wanted to stay for a few minutes, since it was almost 2am and both Gord and I were tired. We walked in, the place was dead - no dancing, no girls - nothing but a group of drunk friends (and bouncers with mega mullets).

I went home, fell asleep - it was a good night.

Happy Christmas

Just a quickie... hope everyone has a great Holiday Season, and the best of luck for 2002.

Im off to the traditional Christmas eve dinner and a friend of the familys. I will write more about stuff on Boxing Day :)

The Euro, New Years, and Snow

There has been a lot of hoopla about the new European currency about to be brought into full effect Jan 1, 2002. I decided to head to the website of the European Central Bank (www.euro.ecb.int) to see what the new notes and coins looked like.

I'm somewhat dissapointed that they are going to release a both 1 and 2 cent coin - pointless if you ask me. They should have rounded everything to the nearest 5 cents! What is kinda cool though, is that each coin is the same on the back, but the front is different depending on which country the coin came from. Each note is a different size, meh! But they have some pretty cool security features - alas still made from paper. I still think the Aussies have the most advanced notes, plastic!

It finally snowed! Not sure how much, but around 5cm or so. Winter is finally here. Cold, but hasn't dropped below -5C, so thats good. It will be nice to have some snow for Christmas!

Bryna is starting to flip out about the New Years Eve party that is being hosted at my place. She's worried that only 6 people will show up ;) I'm more worried about people showing up who wern't invited - they arn't getting in! The whole reason behind inviting people was so that only our friends would be there. I wont have to deal with people trashing the place, or ruining the night for everyone.

Going to email Toni today - haven't heard from her in a while. Wondering whats up. Also going to give Jen an email - she will be leaving for Australia soon! I'm in such a traveling mood! I am getting some people at work to design me a nice traveling website. I somewhat want it to be cool looking, and I dont really have the skills to design a nice looking website. Should be getting it up and running sometime in February. Going to post all my Australia pictures on there, plus its where my plans for future travels and photos are going to go.

InfiniteLoop is growing nicely. People seem happy with the service - that makes me happy! I'm predicting that things will start picking up after Christmas. I'm going to push with some advertising, more towards the Australian market.

I'm in a reading mood! Think I am going to head up to Chapters and buy some books. Something of the technology nature, which is going to be expensive :/ Meh! Just need to get out of the house.

My room is a mess again, seems like I can't keep it clean from one weekend to the next.

No Snow Yet...

I guess you can tell nothing exciting has been happening in my life - no journal updates! Been working away.

It's (almost) the middle of December, and still no snow! I'm glad. Part of the deal with me being allowed to park in the garage was that I had to shovel the driveway. Thank god for no snow!

Going to the company Christmas party tomorrow night. Somewhat looking forward to it. Have to dress nice though, so I think I am going to go all out and wear a tie! Yup, you heard me.. a TIE!

Sleep time.

17C in December!

I don't think I am working at SilverCity anymore - it's just not worth my time. Got my first pay cheque, $250! Well, it did pay for my dads xmas present (got him a DVD player). I haven't showed up for my last two shifts, nor did I call my boss back when she left a message, I feel bad for doing it - but I couldn't really care.

Andy was mentioning to me that Kat hasen't gotten in touch with him since she left for the USA. I wish I could have someone to worry about. Sometimes I think about Sherry at work (silvercity). She was always giving me hugs all the time, and telling me I "smell good". Meh! She's not my type.

I'm a little worried that buying a car was a bad idea :/ I'm tied down for 4 years! I do want to go travelling, but I am not sure if I will be able to afford the monthly payments on the car while I am out of country. I guess what I could do is let my brother, or someone else use it while they pay for it. I don't think I will do that though - maybe I can transfer the lease to my parents restaurant, that's more likely!

I should sleep, early day tomorrow.

$94.37, eh!?!

I got an e-mail from Kristy tonight. Looks like there is a collection agency after me - for (get this) $94.37! I decided to give them a call, when the agent told me how much I owed, he somewhat giggled and said "ha, this phone call is probably going to cost you more then what you owe!". I got it all settled, so I am going to have to send them a money order for that amount this week.

I went go-karting with a bunch of work mates tonight. Had a great time, 'twas much fun! Gord, Alex (work mate) and I decided to have some dinner. Had some drinkies - it was all in good fun.

Two more days until I start my christmas shopping... yipee!

Achey Body *whine*

Wellp, I am finally updating this blasted thing! Its been a super busy one at that!

Kristen got mad at me for posting that "private conversation" in my journal. Meh! I don't really care, we all had a good laugh - so it was all good.

I didn't go to work yesterday or today - I just didn't feel that 6 hours of my time was only worth $50. I didn't go tonight because I am so tired and sore. I helped Mark and Damon with a film shoot last night. We were filming in a corn field up north, it was a night shot - really eerie. We had to pick up a generator (for the lights, and f/x), so we used my car and tossed it in the trunk. By the time we got all the eqipment set up, it was around 10pm or so. The atmosphere was perfect! We mainly used blue jels, so these cool "moon" light was cast over the corn field. Coupled with the fog machine, it was a really, really cool scene. By the time we were done, it was around 8am or so. It was a night scene, so we had to stop when the sun came up. I slept until about 3 pm or so, then came home.

I can't wait to go Go-Karting on Tuesday, its going to be fun fun! I think Gord is going to come too.

I'm having a pretty big new years party this year - yippee! Gord and Bryna are pretty much taking care of all the organisation. We invited about 70 people or so, my house can take it. I'm pretty pumped up about it!

It's amazing how its already December 2nd! Not a single flake of snow either, its been super warm so far this winter. I already know what I am getting everyone for christmas. Just waitign for thursday for my next pay cheque. One of this years annoying christmas commercials, would have to be from Old Navy. They have some pretty shitty clothes anyways, and now they have shitty commercials!
