Yeah, front page was broken! Now its fixed!

I just finished creating a CD for Lisette. She likes to listen to music while she sleeps, so I figured I would put together something. Took me about 2 hours to get the songs I wanted, it was fun though! I was talking to some people on IRC about it:

I can't beleive what I did yesterday! I was in Oakville and I needed to get home. So my plan was to take the QEW to the 403 to the 407, then north on Bathurst. Well, I saw the exit for the 407, so I turned off. I was driving, listening to No Doubt when I noticed that the next exit was actually WEST of where I was. D'oh! I went the wrong way! I got off, turned around and headed back on the 407. Again, driving with No Doubt playing when I noticed that the next exit was actually WEST of where I was!. FUCKING SHIT! I did it again! (by the way, I dont have a transponder, so each time I hop on/off the 407 it costs me $2 (plus the distance traveled). I was soo pissed, I had just wasted about 30 minutes by going the wrong way. meh!

CBC was fun yesterday. I didn't really do much, but it was a change from all this development work. Sys adminning is what I really want to get into. It will look nice on the resume though!

Nothing really else in my life. The silly insurance girl called yesterday, left a message. I couldn't get a hold of her at all today. I wonder what she wants.

Argg!! I hate being sick :/ I didn't end up going to work today because of this bloody virus. Stuffy nose, sore throat, headache, feaver. Ha! I sound like a commercial.

My internet is totally sucking hard right now. I have been in close contact with someone who works at my ISP. He wants me to do some tests in the wee hours of the morning (read... 4am). Not sure if I can do that. I might write a script to take care of it for me, but I really want to be up to make sure everything goes smoothly. Just to give you an idea of how bad it is, my modem is totally idle, and I am getting 1000ms ping times to the next hop. I'm better off with dial up.

Heading out to the CBC tomorrow - can't wait. Although I am assured that its not going to be anything exciting.

Things with Lisette and I are progressing nicely! We seem to be talking quite a bit on MSN this whole week - silly girl is making me stay up late ;) A meet in real life is imminent.

I didn't end up taking the car in to get fixed this week. Haven't had time. First thing Monday morning its going in though. I just want to get it fixed and over with!

Going to CBC on Tuesday. "Orentation" most likely. Chris went today, diden't even know that he was helping out. I doubt I will be working WITH him, just see him on shift change maybe. It's going to be fun, I am definately going to enjoy being there - something I definately want to get into.

Nothing really new and exciting to report. Going to take the car in tomorrow morning, to get it fixed. I really hope it wont take that long.

I decided to go Vegitarian for a month, just to see what its like. I actually started yesterday, but caved in at the smell of a BLT. So today was pretty much my first meat free day!

Had a pretty interesting night last night. Gord, Gavin, Shaun, and I all decided to chill at Gords place for a bit. Drank a few beers and talked. We started to get hungry and headed out to Tom and Jerry's. Gavin was obsessing over this waitress.. "OH my God! She's so hot!". Turns out she's a lesbian, ha!

We dominated the wings and fries that we ordered then decided to head out. Went to Charlies (another bar). Gavin almost got into a fight with some guy. I dont really know what happened, because I was in the car - keeping warm. Shaun and Gav thought it was a good idea to wreck some havoic on some dudes car. It was so fucking funny. As soon as the car alarm went off, they jetted. Gavin tripped over some snow (or himself) and cut up his knee. They had a good rush ! :)

Got back to Gords place, played a little counter strike and ordered some pizza. At that point I was tired as hell, fell asleep on the couch for about 5 minutes, and then decided to head home.

Work on Friday was interesting. The president made an "official" announcement that Sarah and Michelle were dismissed. "I think this is the right decision for ". Seemed a little harsh. From what I could gather from my one on one talk with the president, turns out a client wasn't happy with the way we handeled a project. He used the words "inexperienced", "costly", and "unable to handle the situation". I don't know what happened, as I was not assigned to the project he was hinting at. I'm not sure if thats the direct cause of the firing, or if it was just a personality confilct.

Going snowboarding tonight, with Mark. After, we are either going to hang with Gavin, since its his b-day today, or rent a movie and chill at Marks place. Personally I would like to rent a movie, cheaper. Because of the car accident, my budget was totally blown. I already spent cash last night going out. I also told Gavin that I would spend time with him for his b-day. Will see what happens.

Tomorrow will be spent cleaning up room (again), and taking care of some paperwork for Infinite Loop.

God, I hate talking to the police. They honestly have the worst attitude. I feel worse now about my car before I had called them.

Talked to the insurance company today, they said that I need to file a police report. So I called up the police, had to go through 4 people before someone would listen to me. They sent out an Officer, took her about 45 minutes to get here. She was angry at the fact that I didn't report the accident immediately when it happened. She took a look at the damange, then went inside to write her report. I only had half the papers I needed, I think I threw the other ones out. She bitched at me for that as well.

Time for some background information:

My friend Bryna (Gords Girlfriend) got into a car accident on the same day that I got into the accident. Roads were slippery, and someone had run into the back of her.

Back to the story!

When she left, she forgot some papers. Turns out it was some accident reports that she had filled out earlier. One of them being Brynas! Two things came to my mind when I saw that, first "holy crap! what are the chances", then secondly "uhh.. shouldn't have this been processed by now?". Took her about 40 minutes to come back and pick them up.

I found out that TWO people got fired last night (I'm afraid there might be more). Sarah (who I gave birthday flowers to) and Michelle. I was close to Sarah, she and I were both hired at around the same time. She was a Project Manager, had a great time with her. Hopefully everything will be revealed tomorrow morning during our weekly meeting. I'm really angry at the fact that Sarah was sacked, she was really fun to work with.




So what am I doing this weekend? No plans, most likey bring the car into repair shop. Also get the papers that I seem to be missing as well. Luckily I will get a rental car (which my insurance covers). I also need to take care of some paper work (GST) and prepaire my presentation that I will be giving on Tuesday at work (how does the internet work).

I was just thinking a few days ago, how things seem to be going right. I am out of debt, nothing bad has happened to me in a long time, i'm in good health. All is good.

Until today. Some ass hole hit my (parked) car this afternoon, when I was out to lunch. The whole rear passenger quarter panel is scrached up. Going to call the insurance people on Wednesday. There goes $500, plus the time its going to take out of my schedule to get the car fixed. It's so frustrating!

Meh! I don't feel like writing anymore.

I spent almost 3 hours cleaning my room today - and it's still not done! :( I didn't get any of the paperwork I wanted to get done either... *sigh* I keep on getting sidetracked :/ Mainly watching Family Guy. Been spending the past few days downloading 9GB worth of episodes (4 seasons), that's the best show in the world.

Don't have anything planned for this week. Most likely finish cleaning up my room and taking care of some paperwork.

I think I am going to get some flowers for Sarahs birthday (which is not until the 20th or so, but she is leaving for outeast on friday). She's been having a hard few weeks at work, this should cheer her up. I wanted to go to the city with her this weekend, but couldn't :(

Sleep time!

Thought I was going to be a cripple for the rest of my life last night. I was snowboarding (riding) last night, first run of the night - when I fell.. and my knee made this popping sound. It fucking hurt like a bitch! I was thinking that I was going to be out for the night! Ten minutes of rest and I was back on the slopes, close call!

I found a bot on AIM tonight, his nick is 'Smarter Child'. It's pretty neat! You can get it to give you sports scores, news headlines, you can play games with it, take survyes, it can even give you the weather report! Pretty cool.

Meh, bored bored bored... I decided to install the OGL cheat for Counterstrike. It has some pretty cool features. Of course it has the wall hacks, aimbots, etc.. But it also has some neat "helpers", it can show the current time, have a bomb counter (so you know when that baby goes off), a "rear view mirror". You can apply text labels to the sprites, so you know who it is without having to hover your cross hair over them for a bit. Those are the types of features I would like to see in the normal game!

It's no fun cheating though - I dont know why people do it.

*dances* Gooooooing snow boarding tomorrow, w00t w00t! It's supposed to be warm and rainy - just hope it cools down though. I really hate trying to ski/board when its wet out there. I think I am going to bring my camera - batteries are charged and ready to go. Michelle (chick from work), Mark, maybe Gord, maybe Alex (dude from work), and Eric are coming!

Fox is premiering a new tv show, "That 80's Show". Same sorta deal/idea as "That 70's show". It actually looks better, maybe because I can relate better to the 80's than I could with the 70's.

Hmm.. looks like there is a show about hackers on TLC... I think I go watch...

This day turned out to be awesome! Mark had ICQed me while I was at work around 4pm, asking me if I wanted to go snowboarding. I jumped on the opportunity to get some exercise and try snowboarding for the first time. I had an awesome time! We headed out to Horseshoe, got there at about 7:00pm and able to board until 10pm. Both Mark and I were hoping that Gord would come, but he was busy.
I think we are going to go next week, this time Michelle from work as well as Eric are going to come along (I hope). I'm also hoping this is going to become a weekly tradition.

I have been using my brothers board - so if everything goes good this year... and I am around next year, I am probably going to get my own one!

Yesterday, Gord and I headed out to the Aquarium place to pick up some fish for his tank. He ended up getting some Plattys, Guppys, and Danios. A nice mix - just hope they all survive nicely :)

I was able to get out of work early yesterday so I was able to get home early and help Gord and Bryna set up. The party was pretty much a success, there were some people that showed up that wern't invited. It was still an experience, learned a lot about people I consider my friends :) Didn't end up getting to sleep until 5am or so. Got up at 9:30, spent the rest of the day cleaning up until about 3pm.

ugh, work tomorrow!

I started planning my next trip already - heading out to Europe!
