Whoof Whoof!
Tuesday, April 30, 2002 - 01:04:47 Permalink | On this day in 2005 | On this day in 2000 Hmm, haven't updated in a bit! I called Fido today, switched my cell phone plan. For $30/mo. I get: - 150 Weekday Minutes (M-F 8:01am - 6:59pm) I kept call display ($3/mo.). From my old plan, I upgraded my Voice Mail, and minutes. The new voice mail has a feature called "instant reply"... kinda cool. So like.. you are listenting to a message "yeah its me, call me back". Uhh.. you forgot to leave your number! Normally I would hit "5" and the lady would say "five second call from four-one-six---five-five-five-one-two-three-four on Sunday April 67, 2002". Now all I need to do is press "55" and she dials the number for me! Then when the other party hangs up, I am brought right back to my voice mail where I left off! Of course I still have all the other yummy things, like incoming/outgoing SMS, as well as sending emailing through SMS using Fidos SMS->Email gateway. Saw "Changing Lanes" last night with Lisette. Pretty good movie, ending was kinda dumb though. Another Month has wizzed by! Still lots of items on my to do list. Mainly with InfiniteLoop. Have heaps of things to get done pretty quickly. I think I am going to take apart my laptop and give it a good cleaning. She needs it. My room is a total disaster. I need to clean it up before Thursday. Lisette is coming over for the night *evil grin*, so I need to make some room :) I need a snappy tagline for Chinooks' receipts. "Thank you. Come Again" (which is on there right now) is so Apu-like. Any ideas? Email me or post a comment on my livejournal. Time to do some banking...wheee! I got my car back! Saturday, April 20, 2002 - 10:04:28 Permalink | On this day in 1999 yaaaaay! There are still some things that need to be fixed on it though. So I am going to take it back next week when they give me a call. Also need to bring it in for its scheduled maintenance. This guy is a retard. I felt a small earth quake this morning. Nothing too exciting. There was a 5.5 quake about 100Kms south of Montreal. Thats the third" earthquake I have "experienced". Granted all of them have been less than 5 on the Richter Scale(sp) I got some sun yesterday! Yay! Was out all day, enjoying the weather. Met up with a friend in Port Hope for lunch. I gave Liz a call today, no answer - want to do something tonight with her, movie or just chill - hopefully I wont fall asleep! Playing With Matches Thursday, April 18, 2002 - 01:04:41 Permalink | On this day in 2004 | On this day in 1999 I did something good today. I donated money to charity! Well, I do get something in return :) I decided I am going to attend Playing With Matches 2002. It's a "singles party" (ugh! I hate that term!). My ticket includes food, dance, and drink! Last year they had 2000 people! I still dont have my car back :(( Bastards are taking forever to get it done! I am going to call them tomorrow and bitch at them. I miss my Golf :( Day off today and tomorrow! Yipee, I think I am going to email Amelia! Whoa Crikey! What A Scortcher! Tuesday, April 16, 2002 - 18:04:20 Permalink | On this day in 1999 Yipes! We hit new records today here in Toronto! Feels like we are in the middle of July!
Yup, you read that right! 35C with the humidex. And in good Toronto fashion, everyone is out in Shorts and T-Shirts! Hmmm. I wonder what the temp at other hot locations is:
Hehe, Toronto is still hotter! Work is doing alright. Been busy the past few days - which is good. Mostly scripting (in Perl, yay!). A little html work here and there. Lots and lots of trouble shooting :) The cool new Google Box Should be arriving soon, excited to see that baby installed! Speaking of Google, InfiniteLoop now has ads! So dont be surprise if you see my company in a little green box on the right hand side of the page! New York, New York! Monday, April 15, 2002 - 18:04:44 Permalink | On this day in 2001 | On this day in 2000 ...well sorta. Mark had to head to Bufallo to drop eric off. He asked me if I wanted to come along - that was at 11:30pm. I snuck out early to meet him at his place in Oakville, on the way picking up Eric. It was a weird night. Warm, 100% humidity, Fog everywhere. So much fog, that we had to keep our speed around 100km/h on the way down. We ended up getting to the border at around 1am or so. After some questions from the Gestapo customs agent, we entered without incident. The place Eric was going to was really eerie. It's your typical "American Small Town". With a church, a colonial looking bank. Heck, he even lived on "Elm Street". How generic can you get? With all the fog, it was something straight from a movie. The drive back was uneventful. I crashed at Marks house, we didn't end up getting back until 4:30am. Got up at 12:30pm this afternoon. I love the drive into work from Oakville! Such a cool drive (not used to driving on the QEW). Hardly any traffic, and took me exactly 20 min to get there! I wonder what the prices of houses/apartments are like out there. I really want to move into this place... not sure if I will - need to talk to the right people. I tried to get the May Two-Four (Queen Victorias B-Day) weekend off, so that Gord, Bryna, and others can take our road trip to New York City. That's not going to work. Sucky :( In a druken stupor Sunday, April 14, 2002 - 02:04:51 Permalink | On this day in 2005 Yeah, I got plasted last night. Now I remember why I dont drink alcohol. I must be one of those rare people who hate the feeling of being drunk. It sucks. It was my brothers fault, he wanted me to get all fucked. Heh, I was supposed to work the morning shift today too! oops! Thanks Kyle for coming in! I felt really bad. I set up a live journal account.. It pretty much just mirrors this journal system. (incase you are reading this from my live journal, I have another website where I keep a journal). I'm wondering if I should copy all my entries over to the live journal system. Wouldn't be too hard, I can just write a nice little perl script to do it. I should be sleeping.. but I am not. meh, bored indeed. Tuesday, April 9, 2002 - 19:04:46 Permalink | On this day in 2007 Nobody is online. I'm at work, pretty much finished what I had to do. I feel like chatting to Lisette or Amelia or Mark or Gord.. fuck anyone! Did my first geocache today (see here) - yay! Nothing too exciting, it was pretty easy. I am going to hide one probably on friday or thursday. Also did some war driving on the way to work, came up with this. What shall it be for dinner tonight? Swiss Chalet? Subway? Street Meat? ahhh decisions, decisions. What a Mess. Sunday, April 7, 2002 - 21:04:40 Permalink | On this day in 1999 The DVP being closed has thrown my whole weekend into chaos. What moron would close a 30km stretch of highway for three days during the weekend? Saturday was filled with work, followed by staying in a hotel in the city, and working Sunday morning. I had no desire to drive home (of course, not via the DVP) sleeping for 4 hours, and driving back. For some reason, I had fun staying in the city! The receptionist guy at the hotel had a hard time beleiving that I really wanted to book a room: Me: Hi, I would like to book a room for tonight. Twenty Guestions guy processes my credit card, and I sign the necessary papers. He does give me two keys though. I'm thinking this guy must think I am goign to try to sneak in a girl or something, and just use the place for sex. heh. I was bored on Saturday night so I did a little online shopping. Got some T-Shirts for Duraid. I also perused the Ikea website to get some ideas for that spare room I have. I think I am going to turn it into an office. I also built my own condom gift pack. I thought it was a neat idea... you get to pick all the different types of condoms you want.. and they packackge it all neatly. I pretty much grabbed stuff from every pile I could get my hands on. On the music front, I have been getting back into Infected Mushroom (mainly thanks to Amelia). A little darker than I what I normally listen to (ie, Anabolic Frolic) but good nonetheless. Kyle and I were talking about moving/apartments in the city. He wants to move further south. I really do want to move out (especially to get away from Aurora) but I am not ready yet. I want to wait until the summer time, when I know my job is stable. The fact that my security pass expires June 30 somewhat worries me. I need to talk to Lisette! Specifically about where we stand, relationship wise. I havn't spoken to her all weekend. Where are you?! White Cranberry Juice?!? Wednesday, April 3, 2002 - 23:04:54 Permalink | On this day in 2004 | On this day in 2001 | On this day in 2000 Yup, you got it! The store at work was selling White Cranberry juice, "Made with White Cranberries" exclaimed the label. Work has been pretty quiet tonight, I was doing some HTML work earlier. Piece of cake! We have been having the craziest weather the past few days. Today for example, Snowing, then Sunny!, then Raining!, then Sunny! I just can't wait for summer time to get here! Hmm.. I need to update my Resume! No Eggs For Me! Monday, April 1, 2002 - 22:04:36 Permalink Easter wasn't anything exciting. Working. I am so tired... Spent a few hours after work last night (until about 3am) chilling with my brother. I knew I should have gone to bed earlier! Spent the first half of the day with Gord, got some work done. Had lunch at Tom and Jerrys. Had some tasty wings! I played a small April Fools joke on a fellow workmate at Click Media. Told her that I was going to be working there this week, part time. She was all excited: [10:43] Devastator: heheh I just got off the phone with Mr. X and Mr. Y [10:44] poisson d'avril: oh yeah, [10:44] poisson d'avril: what about [10:44] Devastator: ahh, they called me asking if I wanted to work part time... aparantly there is going to be large work coming in. [10:44] poisson d'avril: oh yeah, well i'm swamped cause they haven't hired any one to help us [10:45] Devastator: yeah.. so im back on click media payroll :) [10:45] poisson d'avril: will we see you, or are you working from home [10:45] Devastator: see me, coming in tomorrow [10:45] poisson d'avril: cool, its about time someone fun returned [10:45] poisson d'avril: hahah [10:45] Devastator: heheh yah [10:46] poisson d'avril: have you talked to nav lately? [10:46] Devastator: *screaming* APRIL FOOLS ;) [10:46] Devastator: naw [10:46] poisson d'avril: oh you jerlk [10:46] Devastator: teehee [10:46] poisson d'avril: playing with my emotions [10:46] poisson d'avril: hahahah [10:46] poisson d'avril: nice one [10:46] Devastator: hehe [10:46] Devastator: *bows* thank you Work is going good. My security pass expired yesterday so I had a hard time getting into work today. I should be getting a new pass tomorrow though :) Nothing much else to report :/ Still dont have my car back yet though :( Soon I hope! |
