Monday, September 30, 2002 - 17:09:28 Permalink The inuit language is so fucked up. The writing is kinda cool, but the language sounds like you need to have a stick down your throat to say the words! Apples, Cleaning, Presents Saturday, September 28, 2002 - 10:09:43 Permalink | On this day in 2005 So my birthday came and gone without much fan-fare. Got some money from my parents (which is understandable, since they are so busy with restaurant), a travel book on "western eruope" from my brother (adding fire to my burning desire to go travelling again), and dinner (possibly more?) from Liz. Mark got his Mac (dual 1.25 G4) yesterday, and I hooked him up with some warez. It's ashame he's only using one monitor, right now. Once we get the other DVI->VGA converter, he will be rocking with two! I love OS X! It's so nice just being able to open a terminal, and run ssh or ftp. I might go over ther later today to help him install some more stuff. I also started to clean my room - finally! Did laundry and tidy things up a bit. My desk is still a mess, but that should be finished today. I want to move my computer stuff into a spare room we have. Need to get a desk first! Project: Appleseed is still on the go. I ordered my power supply last night. The guy would only deliver to the states... sooo I got Elizabeth's mom (who lives in Florida) to proxy deliver it for me :) Now all thats left, is a CPU and video card. CPU is going to be harder to find (especially with heat sink). Sunny and warm today, was rainy and cold yesterday. Days getting shorter. Damn you toronto.com DAMN YOU! Thursday, September 26, 2002 - 16:09:36 Permalink | On this day in 2000 Liz took me out to dinner for my bday! Yay! We had decided to scoot on over to the Old(e) Spaghetti Factory for dinner at 10. Why so late? - I finished work at 6pm So after a scrumptious dinner at east side marios instead, and some coaxing, Liz stayed over at my place. We pretty much fell asleep shortly after hitting the sack (after a quick romp). Got up, went to the dentist! Yay! no cavities - but need to get wisdom teeth pulled in about 6-8 months (when they have fully 'erupted'). I also need to change teh way I brush - with the grain! (stupid bad genes!) heh, Liz organised all the change on my desk into significant piles (quarters into piles of $1, etc...) What for you ask? Aviation and Flight Technology. I would need to get my chemistry credits, and possibly upgrade my grade 12 english credit. Chances are I wont get accepted. Happy birthday Blake! Seeing liz on Wednesday... she's taking me out for dinner! yaaaay! 22 in 2 days! Sunday, September 22, 2002 - 23:09:15 Permalink Travel website is being revamped! Looking good so far, I sorta stole the idea from an already exsiting website! teehee. T-Minus Two Days So the retard who is selling the power supply I need for Project: Apple Seed wont send it to canada. Bastardo! The Band Of Brothers DVD is coming out Nov 5th. Price? around $160CAD. :( Nothing really else new and exciting. Liz got a new job! YAY! I'm still saving up money. The google project at work went live this weekend. So if you want to use new Google Technology(tm) to search the cbc.ca website - check out cbc.ca/search. A new project! Thursday, September 19, 2002 - 20:09:33 Permalink | On this day in 2005 | On this day in 2004 | On this day in 2000 Project: Apple Seed is the latest in my geek projects to hit the drawing board. A have a website up at my other web site. I borrowed Marks XL1 today, just to see how well my laptop will deal with video editing. Two words: Premiere Sucks! This piece of shit crashed on me TWICE. All I was doing was capturing and doing some simple edits. Capture works great! Playback, on the other hand - isn't so stellar. I always thought hard drive reads were faster than writes? Nothing really else new. About to head to Chinook for some eats! Happy Birthday Bryna! FICO Score: 756 Sunday, September 15, 2002 - 23:09:07 Permalink | On this day in 2004 | On this day in 2001 | On this day in 2000 I paid the $22 and got my credit rating. I was neither impressed nor disapointed:
This Means: I'm thinking of getting a pass at the local gym for the winter time. I want to get into better shape for riding this winter. Plus.. I just feel - blah! In the mean time, I am going to go for a bike ride for as long as possible (until the snow starts falling) two or three times a week. I need to get in better shape. Been raining all day today. I really loved driving last night. Rain was coming down so hard, my windshield wipers couldn't keep up. I was probably only going 70 km/h or so too! Band of brothers on - so far so good :) Incoming SMS. Saturday, September 14, 2002 - 11:09:08 Permalink | On this day in 2000 Saw a movie with Liz last night... "One Hour Photo" with Robin Williams... seven out of ten :) Also got my fido bill today (mail on a Saturday?! no... electronically!). Almost $20 ($19.70 to be exact) in text messages... d'oh! I can either go on a text messaging plan (for $5 a month), or just cut down. I'd rather cut down. *stop sending me text messages!* Got a new fiewwire cable today.. Hopefully this one will work with the burner at work :) Babies, e-mails, eric! Monday, September 9, 2002 - 23:09:04 Permalink Weekend was pretty uneventful.. work as usual. Bryan had mentioned that him and Elizabeth were going to stop by the restaurant for some food. I totally forgot about that, so I was both reminded and surprised when I saw them walk in - just after I had finished eating lunch. Had a small chat with the bunch (you can see Debbies perspective here) then fleed for the big city. Remember how I said that you know you are getting old when people you know (friends, school-mates) get married? Well Bryan/Elizabeth are having a baby! I felt really really old when they said that. The first time ever that one of my friends/co-workers was having a baby. I felt kind of akward, didn't really know what to say. Mark and I spent a few hours (if not more) talking about life last night. Eric was over too. Turns out that he lived a few doors down from my house when we were kids. I started naming off the neighbourhood kids and he recognised them all! It was a somewhat eerie feeling. I only met eric this year, through Mark. Mark met him through school. One in a million chance that someone I lived so close to, only 10 years later would we meet in person, under totally different circumstances! Toni emailed me. I was just thinking about emailing her yesterday. I miss her. (She was my roommate in Australia). Its amazing we (sorta) still keep in touch! I also want to email Kat, and Jen! I miss my aussie friends. T-Munus 15 days. Just an ordinary week Saturday, September 7, 2002 - 22:09:31 Permalink Downloading stuff while your battery runs out is bad...mmmkay?! Lisette and I spent the past few days together. Was super fun! Got to build a computer for Bryna as well! Had dinner with a bunch of friends, that was good too! Not sure what to do with website... any suggestions? Ode To Vanilla Coke Wednesday, September 4, 2002 - 01:09:49 Permalink | On this day in 2003 I've fallen in love with something sweet |
